Online casino review

Blackjack

Of all the table games that online and offline casinos offer, Blackjack might as well be the most popular one. That’s no surprise. After all Blackjack isn’t hard to learn and you have some strategies that will increase your chanches of winning.

Online casino’s and offline casinos offer Blackjack to be played on a Blackjack machine or against live dealers. If you use the right Blackjack strategy then you have a payout percentage of 99,5 percent. That’s not bad is it?

How is online Blackjack played?

The purpose of Blackjack is to beat the bank. To do this you have 2 options. First of all is by scoring 21 points. The second is just scoring more points than the bank. You don’t play against the other players at your table but every player plays against the bank. Usually the casino plays Blackjack with six of eight sets of cards. The jokers have been removed.
You still have the following cards:

  • 2 to 10, these cards are worth their points
  • the jack, Queen and King, they are all worth 10 points
  • the Ace, this card is worth 1 or 11 points.

So lets say you have a Jack and a Queen. This combination is worth 20 points. If the dealer has a combination that is less, then you win.

Game progress

First you have to make a starting bet. If you play Blackjack on a machine then the stakes start as low as $0,10 per game. At a live dealer game or in a casino the stakes are probably minimum $1. The game starts when all of the players have placed their bets. After that the dealer hands out the cards. With Baccarat every player receives 2 cards. The dealer also gets 2 cards. The dealer puts on of his cards facing up, the other one facing down.
If you have a combination of an ace with a ten or a Jack, Queen or King? Then its your lucky day and you have a Blackjack and won the game. You get 1,5 times your bet.

If you don’t have Blackjack, then the game continues. First you have to make a choice. You will have to choose between buying an extra card, pass or doubling. There is a another option that can be used when you have two identical cards. In that case you can also choose to split. Then you just keep playing until you pass or have more than 21 points. If you go over 21 points, you lose.

As long as the dealer doesn’t reach 17, he will keep asking for an extra card. He stops when he has 17 points or more. If he shoud go over 21 points then the dealer loses or goes bankrupt.

When do you win at Blackjack?

You win at Blackjack of you have 21 points (Blackjack) of if you have more points then the bank (as lang as you don’t go over 21 points). In the event that you have the same amount of points as the bank, then it’s considered a draw and the bet will stand. In all other cases you loose your bet.

Splitting

There is something we haven’t explained yet and that is Double. When you receive your first 2 cards and they are the same, lets say two Kings, you can choose to split. You have to make another bet in that case but you double your chances of winning.

Doubling

The last option you have can increase your winnings. When you double, you double your bet and you get an extra card.
